New Relic
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The New Relic integration connects your New Relic organization to Oneleet, syncing users as user account assets and your authentication domains as assets. This lets Oneleet monitor who has access to New Relic and how they sign in.
What does Oneleet monitor?
Section titled “What does Oneleet monitor?”- New Relic users (user accounts), including their groups and whether their authentication domain requires multi-factor authentication
- New Relic authentication domains, including whether each one requires multi-factor authentication or SAML SSO
To set up the New Relic integration, navigate to Integrations > Add integration > New Relic.
Oneleet connects with a New Relic user key. A user key has exactly the permissions of the user who creates it, so use the narrowest user you can:
- Pro or Enterprise edition: create a group (e.g.
Auditors) with the Authentication Domain Read Only role on your organization, add a dedicated full platform user to it, and create the key as that user. - Free or Standard edition: custom groups aren’t available, so create the key as a user in the Admin group.
- In New Relic, open Administration → API Keys and click Create a key.
- Set Key type to User, give it a name, and click Create a key. Copy the key (it starts with
NRAK-). - In Oneleet, enter your region (
usoreu) and paste the key, then click Connect.
A user key acts as the user who created it. If that user is removed or loses its role, Oneleet stops syncing until you connect again with a new key.
